Forge Builds — GTM Strategy

How we find, select, and close the right 3 builds.

The Anti-Sell Model

Forge Builds doesn't chase customers. It attracts the right ones and filters ruthlessly.

No cold outreach. No "book a demo." No scaling the sales team. The scarcity is real — 3 slots, hand-picked. The positioning does the selling.

The Funnel

Phase 1 — Attract

Content on jasondmacdonald.com. "What my Forge did while I slept." Real results, real screenshots, real operational leverage. No hype, no theory.

Phase 2 — Apply

Application page. Thoughtful questions that self-select for cascade thinkers. Optional refundable deposit = serious signal + queue jump.

Phase 3 — Select

Hard cutoff. Jason reviews applications. Top finalists get an alignment call. Rest get a polite "not this round."

Phase 4 — Align

Deep alignment call with finalists. Understand their business, operations, goals. Produce a live brief using NowPage tools — they see the process in action.

Phase 5 — Close

Bid-based pricing ($10-20K range). Deposit locks the slot. Final payment on satisfaction.

Phase 6 — Compound

Every completed build creates content, case studies, and referrals that feed the next round. The funnel compounds.

What Gets You Picked — Selection Criteria

  1. Interesting problem — does this business present a novel challenge?
  2. Cascade potential — will the Forge compound for them, or is it a one-time fix?
  3. Content value — will this build produce great stories?
  4. Operator mindset — do they think in systems, not tasks?
  5. Low maintenance — are they self-sufficient after training?
