Product Design Spec — The Architecture of Expert Leverage at Scale
March 24, 2026 · Jason MacDonald · Confidential Working Document

The Meta Frame

Steve Cunningham's workshops give you a live view of what Level 2–3 business owners actually look like up close. They have documentation, SOPs, good intentions. What they don't have is infrastructure that learns and runs without them. That gap — between the binder and the factory — is the market.

Jason operates at Level 5–6. The factory runs while he sleeps. Every session Forge executes autonomously overnight is the live demo for every JV conversation, every Labs pitch, every Athio deployment. The factory IS the proof of concept — and the product.

"A binder that doesn't walk out the door." — The Labs pitch in one sentence. Not invented — handed to you by watching what L2–3 businesses actually need.

The 4-Layer Knowledge Stack

Every expert's knowledge moves through four layers. Each layer multiplies what the previous layer built. This is the canonical mental model for every product and build decision.

LAYER 1CREATERaw expert content — PDFs, recordings, frameworks, transcripts, live sessions
LAYER 2EXTRACTExpert Extraction System + MasteryBook — RAG, summaries, heuristic rubrics, skill graphs
LAYER 3DISTRIBUTENowPage / Reveal — HC pages, lead magnets, real-time artifacts, bespoke blueprints
LAYER 4MONETIZEMasteryOS / Athio OS — AI assistants, subscriber access, JV platforms, equity
TEACHLABS90-day curriculum teaching this entire workflow — April 1 launch, 5 spots at $1,500

The Product Ladder

Every customer starts somewhere on the AI maturity ladder. The job is to pull them up — not push. Each rung is a real product with a real price point.

Forge = The Proof

The dogfood loop: Forge builds MasteryOS → MasteryOS becomes Athio OS → Forge builds Athio OS for each JV partner → Jason takes equity. The factory builds the factories.

The Funnel (NEVER evaluate products in isolation)

$29
MCP Community — publish HC pages from Claude.ai. Every page published = Reveal demo in the wild. The page IS the marketing.
$1.5K
Labs — 90 days. Learn the full 4-layer stack. Leave with a working system. April 1, 5 spots.
$297+
Reveal — drop transcript → select domain + template + ICP → publish. ~18/50 seats. 94% margins via BYOK.
Equity
Athio OS — full Forge deployment into their business. $250K+ revenue gate. 60/40 rev share.

MCP scored 8/25 evaluated in isolation. 20/25 as funnel gateway. Same product, different frame.

The Real-Time Artifact Pipeline

Conversation → NowPage page built in real time → shareable link. Not after the fact — during. The Cheri (Codebreaker) Athio page was built while Derek was on the phone with her. The page closes the deal before the call ends.

The Three Unbuilt Flywheel Connections

1. MasteryBook → NowPage publish button — Layer 2→3 auto-close. Extract insight → one click → HC page.
2. Labs graduation → MasteryOS auto-migration — Finish Labs → auto-provisioned account with learned frameworks pre-loaded.
3. MasteryOS expert → Athio qualification logic — Hit $250K revenue → auto-flagged as JV candidate. Currently Derek manually identifies.
